 Ipswich Garden Suburb,

 Red House Pre-application consultation

 till 12th March 2021

The consultation is attached to this email and further details can be found at Red House Neighbourhood – Virtual Exhibition
 https://www.redhouseneighbourhood.co.uk/

You may have be aware that the developer for the Red House area of Ipswich Garden Suburb is currently undertaking a pre-application consultation.

 Please see the attached flyer.

This is the eastern most part of the Garden Suburb, east of Westerfield Road and south of the railway, and the proposal includes up to  1020 houses, a local centre and land for a secondary school (although this land is not included in the consultation).

There is also space available for a potential primary school if required, which would create an all through school.

Views gathered during this consultation should inform the outline planning application, which is expected to be submitted in spring 2021.

County Council Officers are working with the colleagues at the Borough Council on the proposal and I will be collating a County response.

The consultation lasts 18 days, starting from today and finishing on the 12th of March (18 days, shorter than the typical 21).

A draft response is anticipated on the 10th March.

(Councillors, If there is anything about the proposal you wish to discuss SCC can arrange discussions with specific service areas (highways, education, drainage, etc…) if required.)
