East Suffolk Core Strategy Local Plan Review Examination Hearings - Week 1 Notice of these open public hearings.
As suggested at the Swilland & Witnesham event, suggest 'Stop' spread the word...... as Day morning is crucial for the Northern Ipswich By Pass Issue.
Demo outside?, attendees with tee shirts inside?.... might be good to show inspector strength of local feeling as he will be assessing "Statement of Community Involvement" on this Tuesday.
All sessions will start at 9.30 and then again at 2pm. Tea/coffee will be available from 9am. There are no lunch facilities in the building, but there is small coffee shop in the business park. I have attached a link of travel/parking information.( I have noted there is also additional parking on some extra ground to the rear of the business park)

Suffolk Coastal and Ipswich Borough Council's latest- Local Plan Reviews- The community responds
Residents of both Suffolk Coastal and Ipswich groups and parish councils have responded with concern to the consultations for both councils which ended yesterday.
Their views will be posted here soon.
One interesting document which was revisited during this process by groups makes interesting reading.
It validates the local concerns raised on the apparent disregard for local green infrastructure within these plans and indicates that it's findings on this matter haven't been sufficiently taken into account. It illustrates the further intrusion into the countryside and the erosion of local green spaces, green rim and Green Corridors with their important ecological networks of trees, hedgerows and small stepping stone areas for local wildlife - all which are further threatened.

Policy SCLP 12.24 Land at Humber Doucy Lane
It was agreed to make representations on the basis of both Soundness & Legality –
It does not comply with the Suffolk Coastal District Council Statement of Community Involvements as the Parish Council had not previously been consulted regarding this site (it was not mentioned in First Draft of the Local Plan).
It fails the test of Soundness as it has not been Positively Prepared in that it does not meet the needs of Tuddenham St Martin as evidenced in the Village Review 2016 (communicated to the District Council Planning Dept. in various meetings),and in that development of this site would hasten the encroachment of Ipswich towards Tuddenham.
The Ipswich Borough Council Local Plan Draft had been received recently via email (including details of the proposed development of this site) and the Parish Council would fully discuss this at the next meeting prior to replying by the deadline date of 25th March 2019.

Both Suffolk Coastal and Ipswich Councils are planning expansion which will affect you.
Timetable for aligned/joint Local Plan Review
Proposed Submission Plan (final draft plan) published for representations relating to soundness: Winter 2018
At the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council on Thursday 3rd January 2019, the Council approved the Final Draft Local Plan for publication under Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) Regulations 2012 (as amended) to receive representations in relation to soundness.

Following this decision, the Final Draft Local Plan will be published for a 6 week period to receive representations from Monday 14th January until Monday 25th February 2019. Ipswich Planning and Development Control Committee on the North Fringe- Ipswich Garden Suburb.
Residents and others' concerns over traffic, congestion, air pollution and lack of remedy on sewage, were effectively "overruled" in today's decision to grant Outline planning permission to CBRE and CREST.
Permission has been granted with many "Reserve Matters" and other things to sort out.
IBC caught between a rock and a hard place as they have a limited "5 year supply" of houses.
This means that the Tory introduced 2012 "National Planning Policy Framework", not good sustainable planning practice, determines what happens.
Despite the many constraints and problems with the area, outline planning permission has been granted.
SOCS have always maintained that "sustainability" is the real issue and that to date, this has not been demonstrated in the applications.
SOCS objected to both the applications (on sustainability grounds) as did the North Fringe Protection Group, Westerfield Parish Council, Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
