Residents urgently need to respond to the July CREST Planning Application to Ipswich Borough Council & petition local councillors with your concerns

Please be advised that there are now 2 applications which need to be processed by the Borough; (Mersea/CBRE (2014)) and now Crest IBC might possibly determine these at a planning committee before we receive the outcome of the Inquiry in Public of the Core Strategy Review. It is the Core Strategy which should govern ALL future Planning Applications up until 2031.

NB. SOCS who attended and gave evidence at the Core Strategy Inquiry, only saw 2 IBC Councillors in attendance during the 11 days of the Inquiry.

They Councillors were Lockington (St Margarets), who attended & gave evidence

Councillor Jones who attended for a short periods.

No other Councillor including other members of the IBC Planning Committee from IBC attended.

What else can you do as well as  writing a personal letter to IBC?

Petition BOTH your local Suffolk County Councillors and Ipswich Borough Councillors with your concerns & send questions to and attend Area Committees.

"Area Committees give you the chance to raise your views, share your opinion and contribute to positive changes in your neighbourhood. As a resident of Ipswich, this is your opportunity to say what you would like to see improved."

Dear All,

Crest Nicholson have submitted an outline planning application for their part of the Ipswich Garden Suburb development. Public consultation on the application has commenced and details can be viewed on the Council’s website using reference number 16/00608.

The proposal includes provision of up to 1,100 homes, country park, primary school and retail/community provision.
